Better Options Than Kourtney & Kim Take New York…

It’s the 8 o’clock hour.  I live in Los Angeles, have Time Warner Cable and am home with the boob tube on. There’s a handy feature with this particular cable provider that allows you to set up a favorite channels list. Then when you want you can opt to view only the programming on those channels. I have roughly 50 channels. All the shows I like come on these channels, so its great to not have to bother scrolling though all the other channels. Anyway, here’s a snapshot of several shows that were top contenders for my viewing pleasure.

Sundance Channel: “Appropriate Adult”

This original scripted event tells the story of British serial killer Fred West and his relationship with his “appropriate adult,” Janet Leach. In the UK, an “appropriate adult” is appointed to sit in on police interviews with children or vulnerable adults to safeguard their interests.

USA: Law and Order Special Victims Unit; 2009 episode: “Users”

A controversial therapist goes under the microscope after a teenage girl under his care is killed. During the investigation, Dr. Huang risks his medical license to rescue a heroin addict who is also under his care.

TVLand: Home Improvement; “Workshop Till You Drop” (Circa 1996)

Yeah I was a JTT Fan….What? :

Discovery Fit & Health: “My Strange Phobia”

They’ve got people eating laundry soap over here…

Travel Channel: Mysteries at the Museum; LA Raid, Bioterror, Automation (2011)

The host checks out a robot that helped save lives during a nuclear disaster.

OWN: Disappeared; “Doomed Romance” (2010)

When thirty-three year-old roofer, Jeramy Burt’s car is found torched in a remote desert valley in southern Idaho, three months after he goes missing, text messages sent to his ex-wife about wanting to start a new life are now questionable.

Investigate Discovery: Cold Blood; “Home Invasion” (2011)

Aiken, South Carolina, is a tiny peaceful town where nothing much happens. Until Jessica Carpenter, 17, is found raped and murdered in her living room. The neighbourhood goes on high alert while police swing into action to catch her killer.

Next question is…what to watch at 9pm?
