well that's unexpected

If You’re Ten You Can’t Get a Tattoo. (sorry but that’s a no…)

There are many things that even if one’s parents give consent for, it’s still not okay exactly…

Chuntera Napier, of Acworth, GA thought that with her consent it would be okay for her 10-year-old son get a tattoo in his honor of his 12-year-old brother, who was struck by a car. So she let him. But Napier can’t be the only one unaware of the Georgia law that says it’s illegal for a child under the age of 18 to receive a tattoo (even with consent). You’d think the tattoo artist would be at least up to speed on things like this. Still she was arrested and charged with a misdemeanor for child cruelty.

Was letting her preteen get a tattoo, even for such sentimental reasons, really the most appropriate thing? Clearly the police didn’t think so.
