What’s Hair Got to Do With It?

Leave Gabby’s hair ALONE! In Defense of Gabby Douglas’ Hair   In particular wacky, silly, doesn’t make it kind of sense, but I can unfortunately see why women would say this (as a fellow member of this ethnic race), yet that doesn’t make it any better, piece of criticism; gravity defying, 16 year old, Olympian Gabby Douglas, is being attacked for not getting her “hair did”. If not meeting a strangers misconstrued personal view of hair beauty could insure me this type American VICTORY, then I’d never do my hair again! haha! (and by “doing it” I mean routinely perming it). But hey Ms. Douglas is taking in it stride, and not to heart. Just another reason to be proud of this champion.

(To the tune of Tina Turner’s hit What’s Love Got to Do With It)

You must understand

That the way a perm works

Makes ones sweat react

That it`s only for show

Of changing ones hair

Skewed beauty attack

It`s physical

Not so logical

It’s okay to ignore

Talent means more that

What’s hair got to do with it, got to do with it?

What’s hair, but something on your head?

What’s hair got to do with it,got to do with it?

Who needs a perm when you’ve got a gold medal?!
